The Safir-1 rocket made Iran the 9th country to deliver a satellite into orbit.
First used in a suborbital testflight the Safir has flown eight times and launched 4 satellites into space. Its technology is based on Iran´s Shbab-3 missile, which is able to carry a small nuclear warhead.
Both facing international sanctions Iran and North Korea collaborate on their rocket and misslie programs, which led to the construction of the Paektusan-2 rocket.
As one of the oldest models on this website the Safir is very easy to build and does not have many details. It also uses the same core model as the Paektusan-2.
The scale of the paper model is 1:100.
