In 1988 the Shavit-1 launched Israel´s first satellite into orbit.
This made Israel the eigth country to launch its own satellite. Due to political reasons the Shavit rockets are launched westwards. This makes Israeli satellites the only ones orbiting the earth from east to west.
Later Israel shared its missile technology with the Apartheid-regime in South Africa, which led to the construction of the RSA-3 LV. In 2019 a modified version of the Shavit rocket is still in use.
The model is easy to build and has got some optional details. Basicly it is just a bigger version of the RSA-3 model.
The scale of the paper model is 1:100
