The VLS-1 was Brazil´s planned satellite launch vehicle. After two failed launches and a pre-flight explosion  the project was cancelled.

The rocket was supposed to provide Brazil with an independet access to space.
However, the project suffered from several set-backs. These culiminated in the 2003 Alcantara VLS accident. During it the rocket exploded on the launch pad, killing 21 people. Consequently the project was cancelled by the Brazilian government in 2016.
Later the technology was adapted for the VLM launch vehicle developed in cooperation with  Germany.

The model consist out of four identical boosters and the main body with the payload fairing. Overall it is moderatly difficult.

The scale of the paper model is 1:100.
